Tends mixing machine to blend phosphate, soda ash, lime, and other water-conditioning agents for use as binding agent for making carbon black: Starts pumps to transport ingredients into blending tanks. Starts mixing machine to blend ingredients. Starts pumps to transport mixture to storage tanks feeding furnace boilers of carbon manufacturing plant. Keeps log of gauge readings, such as water temperature and level in boilers and storage tanks.
